Who Is Writing This World's Bible

The original Holy Bible was written by numerous people who all had an experience with God. Passed thru written letters, or verbal communication. The books and letters were found and put together, many books were left out of the bible but are still available for reading. So, my question is, who is writing today's bible?

In the Bible, there are people from all locations, and every social class. Murders, slaves, prostitutes, drunks, the poor, the rich, the sick, the healers, the Kings, the Pharaohs, prisoners, but they all had a connection with the God. The Bible is full of testimonies of how The Spirit moved thru these people. The miracles, the prophecy,

So when we read the bible we are reading the stories from these people and their worldish ways, but how God still worked with them. It shows peoples rewards, and their consequences. The Lord has not changed, and is doing this in the present that He did in the past.

Have you ever thought about the stories that are going to be written in the new bible, that will be for the world after ours. Finding the new territory, Aids and Cancer, Swine Flu, all the dieases, drugs, all the wars, the bombs, the Indian tribes, the Africans being made into slaves, the nations, the different presidents, the government, all the natural disasters, the babies being brought back to life, the technology advances, the different religious dominations, the major preachers, the popes. Just think about YOUR testimony for a min. Now think about the other people around you and their testimony.

I feel like we have a book we all need to come together and start writing just so that the next world will know who to serve and just how good He has been since day one and that He will do the same and better for them. Its our duty to guide them the same way Jesus, Job, Noah, Paul, Esther, and David guided us to God.

Entry Into Heaven

Nobody has to agree with me, but this is my story and I'm sticking to it. If we are all born into sin, nobody is greater then anybody else, we all sin everyday and no sin is greater then any other, why do they make some sins "seem" greater then any others.

I feel as tho as long as we believe and have a relationship with the Trinity (Father, Son, Holy Spirit), do not cause anybody else or ourselves harm and pain, spread the word bringing others into the kingdom, we are good to go... See, they say that even if the nicest, most giving, most cheerful person in the world doesn't have a relationship with Jesus, then they will not have access to the kingdom.

In my eyes this tells me that the entry into heaven is relationship, not rules... God KNOWS that we are going to mess up and sin, that's why Jesus was sent to protect us from His rath. They don't ask for us to be perfect, they ask for our relationship and acknowledgement that we would be no where without them... Now that don't mean that you can just go out here runnin the streets being reckless then think you can just run back in church and ask for forgiveness then go back again... It has to be sincere.

Now lets take it to the scripture...

Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God"

Romans 10:9 "That if you confess woth your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved"

Ephesians 2:8-9 (NIV) "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith, and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God, not by works so that no one can boast"

Roamans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Like I said before, you don't have to agree with me... That's just how I look at the situation, and everybody is entitled to their own opinion. But I do pray that everyone can have their own relationship with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit because only then will your life start looking up...

Where Were You?

Real World 25

Sooo, tomorrow is the VA casting call for Real World Season 25, they still haven't released where it is going to be but... I don't even care where it is! I have wanted to be on The Real World since I saw Real World Las Vegas! *screams* I don't watch any other reality TV show cause I feel like the are all scripted! Real World is my DRRREEEAAAMMM!!! I need sooo much support! I want this sooo bad!

HBCU vs Predominately White Campus Life

So I attend Norfolk State University, in Norfolk, VA. NSU is a HBCU. Around the corner there is a predominately white university, Old Dominion University. One day was week I was on ODU campus and I really had to look around and I asked myself, "Where do they get all this money from?" My mom said they probably have a lot of alumni support that most HBCU's don't have... So I called up to ODU and NSU to get numbers on how much financial support each receives annually and neither said they were able to get the answer... I don't know, it just seems a little fishy to me... I'll come back with the pics on Monday

Tips From Pamela Jones

Last Wednesday I had the privilege to hear from Portsmouth native, NSU 2008 graduate, Pamela Jones and she spoke to us about the tips to being a successful mass communication major in and out of school. She started off in school joking around all the time and active on the yard in many organizations on campus. She is now located in New York making more money then she would in Virginia stating “sometimes you gotta leave out to bring back in.”

In 2006 she got picked to go on a mass communication trip to New York and ran into MTV and ended up on TRL dancing to Beyonce and got invited back the next day. Her whole motive was, “what possibilities do you have just jumping up.” She ended up getting an internship in New York and is still interning there.

Since she got serious about her future she considers herself a grinder. While all her friends were in Miami for spring break she was in New York staying in a hostile, it was the scariest experience in her life but anything to get your hands on, anything to get contacts of the people you need to know was her reasoning. Don’t break the law, but make it work. Stay after the movie and watch the end credits, get the cast caller name, call the studios, get their extension and work it out.

Pamela stressed how we needed to take advantage of the resources provided at school, you may have to merge your personal life and school, stop looking at the little picture and look at things in the long run. You’re going to fail, they will tell you no, but you have to have a quick turnaround. “You never know the avenues you can take, always have an open ear to what’s out there.”

She also emphasized how important our resume, image, and networking is. The energy put into that one piece of paper will take you so far. “GRIND, be humble, know that no one owes you anything, be creative, you really have to stand out, what does your personality have to offer?” You have to talk to your professors and faculty, build a relationship so that you can come back and have doors opened. She left us all with a statement of motivation, “If you don’t take any actions, then you have no room to complain about anything.”

Independent Party

Today I had the privilege to hear from Erick T. Sadler, the independent candidate for the US House of Representatives forth district of Virginia, in my politics class. He shined the light on the political parties and open my eyes to the world of politics. He said corruption of the government circulates around money. A lot of money is floating around and Independent candidates usually don't get the lime light because they don't have the money. He is neither republican or democrat, he is himself, and he is working for the American agenda, not the agenda of a party.

He quoted some lines from George Washington's Farewell Address and summed it up saying that the government has done everything that Washington predicted would happen years ago. Washington was not a fan of political parties because he felt they would change laws to meet their needs and not the people of America.

I asked him how he felt about same-sex marriages. His response was government puts their nose in too many personal issues and relations. Everyone has an opinion but when one mans opinion effects another mans opinion negatively, it needs to stop. All men were created equal and no one should push their opinion on other's people lifestyles.

When another student asked how he felt about the don't ask don't tell policy he felt it was a shame that people want to serve for their country but they are denied because of their sexual orientation. He feels like if open gays are allowed into the military their should also be protection laws passed to keep people from discriminating against them in the military.

He is an independent party and like said above he does not receive a lot of finical support. I needs members on his campaign. He also printed his business cards recycled paper so it shows he's going green!! Let's Support our independent candidates.
